The given diagram illustrates the process of collecting the latest pieces information on the weather to prepare valid forecasts. Overall, what stands out from the diagram is that there are four main steps involved in the process from collecting information to broadcasting.

The first stage in the process is the collection of the incoming information. This can be done through various sources including satellite, radar and digital buoy. Having been gained, the data is, then, recorded and stored on the satellite photo, radar screen and the synoptic chart. All this is then processed and interpreted for forecasting before being delivered to a computer. After being fed into the computer, the analyzed data is broadcast through different media, of all of which three are illustrated here including radio, TV and phone.

In brief, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology collects and analyzes the information on weather in four steps so as to produce accurate weather reports.
